Biodiesel Access Task Force


The Biodiesel Access Task Force reports to the appropriate city departments, the Board of Supervisors, and the mayor on all aspects of biodiesel fuel, including city-wide strategies and incentives that would increase the use of biodiesel fuel by consumers, vendors, and the city's municipal fleets; and ways to streamline and put into action the necessary permit process for biodiesel filling stations.

The task force meets on the first Tuesday every other month in the months of February, April, June, August October and December at 10:00 A.M., unless otherwise noted. Meetings are held at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Place , Room 278. All meetings are open to the public.

The Biodiesel Access Task Force office is at 11 Grove Street, San Francisco, California, 94102.

Members

The Biodiesel Access Task Force consists of seven voting members appointed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. Voting members were selected from within the biodiesel community, and include fueling station owners, fleet operators, and consumers. Non-voting members include representatives from city departments that have a stake in the use of biodiesel fuel.

Subcommittee

Marine Committee (no longer active)
The Marine Committee focuses on ways to make biodiesel fuel available in and around the waters of the city and works with stakeholders, including fuel distributors like General Petroleum, to promote the use of biodiesel fuel. The committee consists of five voting members comprised of three Biodiesel Access Task Force members and two at large (non-Task Force) members. The three Task Force members shall include the Task Force member appointed by the Port of San Francisco and at least one Task Force member who was appointed by the Board of Supervisors. The Marine Committee meets quarterly starting in May on the second Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at the Port of San Francisco , Pier 1, Bayside Conference Room 3.

Biofuels Permit Working Group
The Biofuels Permit Working Group will review and identify any necessary changes to permitting and code review and remove barriers for biodiesel implementation. The Biofuels Permit Working Group meets on the first Tuesday every other month in the months of February, April, June, August, October and December from 9:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Meetings are held at City Hall, 1 Dr. Carlton B. Goodlett Jr. Place, Room 278, City Hall.
